WINGHAM – Brindley Auction Services has donated $5,725 to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation (WDHF).
These funds were raised through the open house and tractor auction they hosted in August.
The open house offered patrons a chance to view the tractors that were up for auction and a barbecue lunch for which people were welcome to make free will donations to benefit the WDHF and Huron Hospice.
Two tractors were auctioned with proceeds split between the two organizations. The two charity tractors were an International Harvester A1 and a Farmall 300. Mark and Cindy Ferraro of Brussels Livestock were the purchasers of both tractors.
The proceeds from the tractor sale and open house resulted in a donation of over $5,000 to the WDHF. The funds will go towards vital medical equipment such as IV pumps, lab testing equipment and scopes for the operating room.
“Thank you to Sally Hinsperger and Gord Brindley for their generosity and making this donation possible,” stated WDHF officials in a release.
