Bluewater board invites community organizations to meeting April 12

CHESLEY – Bluewater District School Board is inviting local community organizations, including upper and lower tier municipalities, to attend the annual Community Planning and Partnerships meeting on Tuesday, April 12.

The meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams beginning at 6 p.m. and is open to any members of the public who wish to join to observe.

The purpose of the meeting will be to share information that may lead to further discussions regarding potential partnership opportunities with the community, and to exchange ideas and needs with community partners. A representative from Bluewater District School Board will provide an overview of the capital plan and possible schools eligible for facility partnerships.

The Ministry of Education’s community planning and partnerships guideline encourages school boards and potential community partners to share planning information regularly, which may result in mutually beneficial opportunities to share school facilities. This includes new builds or renovations, possible use of unoccupied school space, and school properties that may be considered for future disposition.
