Barber Avenue balcony climber charged with threat utterance

LISTOWEL – One person is facing one charge in the Municipality of North Perth following an incident last month.

On Saturday, Oct. 23 just after 12 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an individual climbing exterior balconies in the area of Barber Avenue North, Listowel. During the investigation, it was learned that the accused had spoken to residents, and threats had been uttered.

As a result, Christopher Reiger, 40, of Listowel was arrested and charged with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
