Avon-Maitland DSB seeks feedback on school climate

HURON-PERTH – Parents/caregivers of students in the Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) are asked to complete an online survey to provide feedback about their school’s climate.

Board officials say this survey is part of AMDSB’s “commitment to building and sustaining positive school climates that are safe, inclusive, and accepting for all students, families and the broader community.”

“The results from this survey will support school and board teams to better understand concerns, to build strategies and ultimately to seek to improve the school climate,” said Jane Morris, superintendent of education. “We know that a positive school climate enables students to be more successful. We value the voices of our parents and caregivers and appreciate the time that each of them will take to provide this important feedback”.

The survey is voluntary and completely anonymous and allows parents to reflect on their own experience interacting with their child’s school(s) and also their child’s experience.

The survey closes on Friday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m., and can be completed online at https://bit.ly/40B7Jss.
