North Perth Council to maintain sidewalk winter maintenance this year, directs staff to investigate million dollar increased service in future years
LISTOWEL - According to an operations report, North Perth’s current level of winter maintenance service focuses on plowing snow from sidewalks around educational, medical, and the main commercial areas on a Monday to Friday basis, with limited maintenance on weekends and holidays.

Streets named after founders of Listowel’s first hospital
LISTOWEL - The March 17, 1910 issue of the Listowel Banner carried a story about the grand opening of the town’s first hospital. One-hundred and fifteen years later, the same newspaper is reporting that the nurses behind the opening of that hospital are immortalized.
