NORTH PERTH - The fundraising committee proudly unveiled the memorial at the Nov. 18 soft opening of Listowel’s MAP59 park.

LISTOWEL - Over the course of two North Perth council meetings, council managed to encourage harmony going forward between the existing residents neighbouring a proposed multi-unit residential development in Listowel’s west end.

A tribute to Alfred Grubb, 103, was given at the Teeswater Remembrance Day Ceremony on Nov. 11 inside the old Town Hall for his service in the Second World War.

HURON-PERTH - The Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) of Trustees reviewed a report at its Oct. 22 meeting outlining the Sept. 26 Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) scores across the province, including the school board here. 

Making the Listowel Agriculture Hall his office for the day, Grant Abraham, leader of the newly established United Party of Canada, used the space to drum up support for his party.

In 30 years, Listowel District Secondary School’s (LDSS) fundraising efforts for The Terry Fox Foundation has amounted to $144,121.28. For their anniversary year, the school has set a goal to raise $2,000.
