Pervitin popping and the Wehrmacht meth blitz

I can always tell when it’s autumn. Aside from the obvious of the kids back in school, the leaves changing colours and the weather having more of a chilly bite, for some reason at this time of year I always have a craving for Second World War documentaries.

Interesting piece of history

Listowel’s Dianne Fitzgerald found an interesting piece of history while she and her husband were renovating their home decades ago. Fitzgerald found a copy of the June 2, 1953 Hamilton Spectator that once belonged to her grandmother, Annie Hoadley – who had lived in the house previously – outlining
