Each year, Lowe’s Canada challenges its Canadian network, including the Moffatt and Powell Rona in Atwood, to fundraise for local non-profit organizations or public schools during the Heroes Campaign. The Atwood store chose the local Lions Club to be the recipient of this year’s funds, recently presenting the club with a cheque for $5,684.85. The funds were raised during the month of September. Pictured: Atwood Lions Club members Al Weyers, Ron Wilson and Jim Brenneman receive the cheque from Moffatt and Powell Rona’s Jolynn Melo, Douglas Cockwell, Shawn Skinner, Darcy Quinn, Gerry Ouellette, Lee Harney and Nancy Powell.
