PERTH EAST – The Perth County Ontario OPP has charged a Perth East resident after a domestic disturbance occurrence.
On Aug. 8, officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Galt Street in the Township of Perth East.
During the investigation, it was also disclosed that the accused assaulted the victim and damaged a door during an argument that occurred over a month ago.
A 27-year-old resident of Perth East was arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle (two counts), and mischief – destroys or damages property (two counts).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
