Midwestern Newspapers
The Midwestern Newspapers Corp. is formed of the Listowel Banner (1866), Independent Plus, Walkerton Herald Times (1861) and the Wingham Advance Times (1871). These comprehensive newspapers are published weekly and cover their respective communities and surrounding areas.
General Policy
Advertising is accepted on the condition that, in the event of typographical error, that portion of the advertising space-occupied by the erroneous item, together with a reasonable allowance for the signatures, will not be charged for, but the balance of the advertisements will be paid for at the applicable rate. In the event of a typographical error advertising goods or services at a wrong price, goods or services may not be sold. Advertising is merely an offer to sell, and may be withdrawn at any time.

The publisher accepts responsibility for claims and honors agreements made by himself or by regular staff on his behalf. No responsibility is accepted for actions by person(s) not in the employ of the paper, or otherwise over whom the Publisher has no control.
All Advertising accepted is done so in good faith.

Letters Policy
Letters to the Editor are invited on subjects of interest to our readers. The Editor maintains final approval on whether any letter is published or not, and reserves the right to edit all letters.
Preference is given to letters 200 words or less. Pen names are not allowed and all letters to be considered for publication must be signed and include contact information. For our complete policy on letters contact our office.

Deadline for submission of ads, letters or news is Monday at 10:00 a.m.
