Henry VanBarneveld of Brussels, and formerly of Hanover and Zurich, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Friday, September 11, 2026, in his 87th year.
Husband of Mary (Winkel) TenPas, and the late Diane (Bebingh) VanBarneveld.
Father of Wilma & Mark Rupke of Grafton, and Gordon & Sonja VanBarneveld of Sarnia. Also sadly missed by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Brother of Bill & Clara VanBarneveld, of Sarnia, and brother-in-law of Jan VanBarneveld of Sarnia, and Winston deRoos of Wyoming.
Henry will be sorely missed and forever remembered by Mary’s children; Brian & Melinda TenPas of Brussels, Brenda & Rob McIntosh of Walton, Carol & Sean Colquhoun of Hanover, and Judy & Nigel Taylor of Guelph, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his sister Georgina deRoos, and brother John VanBarneveld.
Visitation will be held at Hanover Missionary Church on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Interment in Wyoming Public Cemetery.
