LISTOWEL – A group from the local Saturday Morning Runners run club organized and participated in a Try-A-Triathlon event at the Listowel Memorial Park on July 20.
The eight athletes swam for 15-minutes (roughly 400 metres), biked 10km, and then ran 2.5 kilometres.
This was equivalent to roughly half the distances of a Sprint Triathlon, the entry level length in the sport of triathlon. Triathlon races can be as long as 3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42.2km run, this is called an Ironman.
