Ray was born on June 21, 1947 in Mornington Township to Russell & Eileen (Wooddisse) Faulkner. At the age of nineteen Ray made a commitment to serve Jesus Christ, no matter the cost. He and Betty married in 1969 and faithfully served in full-time Christian service as pastors and career missionaries in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and India) for over 25 years with the PAOC. Upon returning to Canada in 2000, Ray spent many hours at Raybeth, tending his vegetable gardens, making maple syrup, and sharing the joys and wonders of nature with family and friends. Ray was the keeper of family lore, with a computer-like knowledge of important dates and events, and family tree information. His mission field was whomever was around him, whether overseas or across the street.
