Peacefully and surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, Kenneth Thompson of Wingham passed away at the age of 90. Devoted husband of the late Joy (Cowan) Thompson who predeceased him in 2021. Loving dad of Byron & Dorothy Thompson of Windsor and Brenda Thompson & Duane England of Ingersoll.
Cherished grandpa of Sarah Thompson, Brett Thompson, Dillon McNally & Shanon Hough and Brittany McNally and dearly loved great-grandpa of Lacey Thompson and Jayden and Lily McNally. Dear brother of Ruth Thompson, Phyllis McLennan and Barb Thompson. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Robert & Jean (Garniss) Thompson, sisters Helen Wilson and Betty Thompson, brother Keith Thompson, brother-in-law Keith McLennan, parents-in-law Zic & Estella Cowan and sisters-in-law Wanda Stapleton, Pauline Hodgins and Maxine Wilson.
Ken was a wildlife and nature enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies, fishing with Joy and often took his family on
walks in the bush. He was truly a family man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His positive outlook, sense of humour and strength will be missed by so many. A private family service with interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
