The recent closure of the Mildmay branches of the Bank of Montreal and the Midwest Cooperative Services, as well as the closure of the Teeswater Bank of Montreal location has South Bruce staff working to encourage growth that could take advantage of the recently-vacated spaces. South Bruce Economic Development Officer Rhonda Niesen recently told South Bruce Council that she had reached out to the head offices of numerous financial institutes regarding the open bank spaces and is working with her counterparts at Bruce County to utilize the Midwest Cooperative site.
