Stewart Allen Hamilton of Listowel passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 8, 2025, in his 86th year.
Partner and best friend of Grace Bender.
Father of Brad & Brigette Hamilton, and Patty & Craig Zurbrigg, all of Listowel, and father-in-law of Charlene Hamilton of Monkton.
Grandpa of Dustin & Kayla Hamilton of Embro, Kyle & Kelsey Hamilton, and Becky & Joel Coghlin, all of Listowel, and Jesse Hamilton & Paula Ernest of Monkton.
Great-grandpa of Ryker, Logan, Fiona, Penelope, Torrance, Rhett, Keeton, and Ryland.
Brother of Marion & Keith Bristowe, and Larry & Eileen Hamilton, all of Listowel, and brother-in-law of Doreen Hamilton of Walkerton, Karen Hamilton, and Marsha Hamilton, both of Listowel, Jim & Louise Allen of Hull, Quebec, and Phyllis & Denney Thorpe of Carleton Place.
Sadly missed by Grace’s family; Carolyn & Mike Chapman of Listowel and their family Hunter & Scott Fries (and son Charlie), and Jensen Chapman & Matt McCracken; and the late David Galloway and his children Rebecca Galloway, and Alexander Galloway.
Also fondly remembered by the Potts family.
Predeceased by his wife Luella (Potts) Hamilton, son Bill Hamilton, parents Walter & Stella (Cosens) Hamilton, sisters Marjorie & Gerry Bradley, Isabelle & Donald Chamney, and Jean & Jack Pettit, and brothers Orland, Howard, Harold, and Ivan & Marilyn Hamilton.
A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at Parkview Gardens on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. with words of remembrance at 2:30 p.m.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
