Gerrit “Jerry” Borg peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Geertuida “Trudy” Borg for 65 years. Loving father of Rev. Ray and Arlene, Margaret, and Sharon and Jon Dreise. Caring Opa of Joyana and Rueben, Jon, Amanda and Simon, Philip and Kristin, and Jordan and Kimberley. Precious Great-Opa of Theo, Everly, Sydney, Ava, Olive, and Jude. Gerrit will be missed by his sister Dora Borg of The Netherlands, his sisters-in-law Truus Borg, and Effie Geertsema.
Visitation will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, 385 Main Street West, Listowel on Thursday from 5 – 7 PM.
Jerry’s funeral service was held at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 345 Elizabeth Street East, Listowel on Friday, December 13th at 11 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment was in Gorrie Cemetery.
