Members of the North Huron and Morris-Turnberry communities gathered together at the Wingham Cenotaph on Nov. 11 to take pause in their day to remember the fallen, and thank those who came home. North Huron Reeve Paul Heffer spoke to the hundreds of people gathered on Veteran’s Way, Josephine Street and John Street. Morris-Turnberry Mayor Jamie Heffer laid a wreath on behalf of his municipality. Branch 180 - Wingham Legion held the Remembrance Day Ceremonies, provided a bus for veterans and hosted a dinner at the branch with special guest speaker David Yates, a local award winning author.
