Special Olympian and proud Canadian Helen Clancy was the official cake cutter when Walkerton marked Canada’s 126th birthday in 1993. She got a hand from Don Carroll, co chair of the local organizing committee. Helen won two silver medals in international speed skating in Austria earlier in the year.
