West Grey declares state of emergency over hospital service cuts

WEST GREY – Mayor Kevin Eccles, in consultation with the West Grey emergency control group, has declared a state of emergency in the municipality effective May 28. As stated in the announcement posted on the municipality’s website, the reason is the removal of the in-patient beds from the Durham hospital and concerns regarding public safety.…
