Born on April 19, 1931 in Walkerton, Ontario we are saddened by the passing of Gerald McKay Rome on October 24, 2023, at the age 92.
Beloved husband of Olga (nee Tichenoff). Loving father of Brian (Susan) and Judy (Joe) Bastone. Loving grampa to Anthony (Robyn), Richard (Vanessa), Michelle and great grampa of Evelyn, Owen, Jason and Emma. Dear brother-in-law of Paul Tichinoff (Diane) and pre-deceased by his brother-in-law Bill Tichinoff (Janet) and late Anne Whitworth (Jim). Fondly remembered by his family and friends. He was committed to serving his community. He was the Minden CIBC Branch Manager and CIBC employee for over 40 years. Deputy Reeve of Minden Hills, a founding member of Stanworth Housing, Hospital board member, Pat President of Minden Rotary and various other volunteers committees.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
