LISTOWEL – The North Perth Women of Distinction are excited to share more about their ‘Blue Jeans & Bling’ event, an evening celebrating the women of North Perth.
“We have 300 tickets for sale and they are selling quickly,” said Lee Anne Andriessen, chair of United Way Perth-Huron’s North Perth Community Committee. “If you are interested in bringing along a table of girlfriends to enjoy desserts and dancing, as well as supporting women leaders in North Perth, now is the time to buy tickets.”
Blue Jeans & Bling happens Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Listowel Agricultural Hall starting at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress up and get ready to dance to music from the band Upside of Maybe. Tickets are $50 with a charitable receipt for $20. Age of majority is required.
“It’s going to be a fun evening. Besides the awards, we have a couple of dancing demonstrations, a silent auction, line-dancing instruction and desserts and snacks,” added Andriessen. “All proceeds will stay in North Perth to support our most vulnerable residents, so this event is a chance to have fun and make a difference in our community.”
Special thanks to Inspiring Women, a previous North Perth women’s group that contributed seed funding to the Blue Jeans & Bling event. Two anonymous supporters, as well as a number of local businesses, have provided sponsorships for the event.
Tickets are available in-person at Diana Sweets Marketplace & Cafe and Simply Celebrate You in Listowel, as well as online at Eventbrite. For a link to buy tickets, visit perthhuron.unitedway.ca.
