Sharon Armstrong of Fordwich, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 22, 2023, in her 78th year.
Loving wife of the late John Wallace Armstrong (2021). Proud mother of Kevin & Pamela Armstrong of Newbridge, Brad & Janet Armstrong of Waterloo, Mark & Christine Armstrong of Fergus, and Angela & David Crispin of Palmerston.
Grandma of Brandie & Sjors Lavrysen, Vanessa & Lindsay De Melo, Tyler & Mikayla Armstrong, Darcy Armstrong, Drew, Hailey and Elyse Armstrong, Sidney, Jocelyn and Madelyn Armstrong, and Makayla, Mallory, and Nicole Crispin. Nana to Beau, Kade & Reign Lavrysen and River John (RJ) De Melo. Sharon will be forever missed by her beloved brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and John’s family. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Alberta Bester.
Sharon loved her family deeply and loved feeding them even more. Any time she hosted a get-together you’d find snacks filling her counter, bowls of Jell-O chilling in the fridge, and pitchers of the kids’ favourite “blue juice” on the table. She greeted every grandchild with a lively, “Hello!” and always sent them on their way with a Costco-sized ice cream sandwich. Sharon had a laugh you’d recognize anywhere. She was the perfect combination of funny, feisty and friendly. Her work ethic was legendary, and her to-do list was long, but her capacity for caring for the people she loved was endless. Rest in the peace you so deserve Mom, Grandma, Nana, Sharon. The books are balanced, the cats are in for the night, and John has your bed warmer on with Mary queued up on the TV.
