WALKERTON – A Brockton man has been charged by police with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking following the execution of a search warrant last month.
On Aug. 24, members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit and South Bruce OPP executed the search warrant at a residence on Fischer Dairy Road in Walkerton.
According to police, cocaine was seized at the scene with a street value of around $11,600.
Police also say offence-related property was seized, including a vehicle, a Taser, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia. The value of these items is estimated to be over $30,000.
The accused, a 31-year-old Brockton man, was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a prohibited device.
He is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court on Nov. 1 to answer to the charges.
