WALKERTON – Walkerton’s Summer Streetfest is back, with great shopping and dining specials, free entertainment, and family activities all day long.
The action starts at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 21, and continues until late afternoon.
Numerous activities will take place in the new Market Garden Park at 312 Durham St., including kids’ Zumba with Julie, Celtic dance, yoga for kids, Petunia the Clown, clay modelling, a musical petting zoo, Market Garden rock art, student entrepreneurs, a children’s mural, button making, giant games, story time with the library, and more.
There will also be opportunities to learn about local Truth and Reconciliation initiatives, and make music with Sistema Walkerton and A&R Music.
Further down Durham Street, near the Old Garage Pizza, kids can have fun and burn off energy with Rural Strength and Conditioning, offering an outdoor obstacle course for a second great year.
Walkerton businesses are set to offer some fantastic specials as well, including live entertainment by Shooter John and Walkerton firefighters near Axe n Gear Music, free popcorn from Brown’s Pharmacy, specials from local restaurants, and much, much more.
