Adriana Cornelia Theresia (VanTiggelen) Marynissen of Royal Terrace, Palmerston, and formerly of Listowel, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in her 97th year.
Wife of the late Adrian Marynissen. Mother of Anne Sebert and her husband Louis of Fort Smith, N.W.T., Tony Marynissen of Tweed, Cornelius Marynissen of Holstein, and Jane Marynissen of Kanata. Grandmother of Peter, Melanie, Katie, Jamin, Isaac, Nicholas, Adrian, Leigha, Jasmyn, and Jon, and great-grandmother of Ardin, Mason, A.J, Liam, and Emily. Predeceased by her daughter Ida Marynissen.
Adriana was born on January 28, 1927 in Wouw, Netherlands. She married Adrian John Marynissen on May 8, 1951, and they immigrated to Canada in 1953. Adriana and Adrian raised their children and worked together on their dairy farm in the Listowel area. She was a dedicated farmer, mother and homemaker for her five children, and a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to the Lung Association or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
