LISTOWEL – Three individuals, including two teenagers, are facing several weapons-related charges following what police are calling a “drive-by shooting involving a BB gun” on June 22.
Perth County OPP received the weapons complaint around 8 p.m. on June 22 from an Elma Street West address. No injuries were reported, according to police.
Police located a suspect vehicle a short time later, and three individuals were taken into custody without incident.
A 24-year-old Niagara Falls resident has been charged with three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, failure to comply with release order (other than to attend court), and mischief under $5,000.
A 19-year-old North Perth resident has been charged with three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and mischief under $5,000.
The third accused, a 17-year-old North Perth resident, has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and mischief under $5,000.
The 17-year-old and 19-year-old were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
