Ivy Joyce (McKnight) Koch, formerly of Gowanstown, passed away at the Fordwich Village Nursing Home, on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in her 92 year.
Wife of the late Allan Koch. Mother of Gerry and Shirley Koch of Gowanstown, Anne Omand of Listowel, Sandra DesChamp and John Hunt of Ethel, and Karen Murray of Edmonton Alberta. Grandmother of Melissa Burgess and Justin, Jolene Koch and Ryan Hallam, Seth and Christina Omand, Scott and Laura Omand, Shawn and Angela Omand, Zeke DesChamp, James Murray and Shelby Nolan, Dillon and Kathryn Murray, and Josie Murray and Harley Baril. Great-grandmother of Sonya, Nathaniel, Jared, Liam, Benn, Sawyer, Maison, Madison, Josh, Violette and Sean, Olivia, Hannah and Boyd. Sister of Murray McKnight of Kitchener.
Predeceased by her parents George and Bertha(Greer) McKnight, sons-in-law Glen Omand and Sean Murray, sisters Evelyn Braun and Lola Eddie, and by her brothers Lorne McKnight, Barry McKnight, Ron McKnight and Archie McKnight.
She married Allan on September 11,1954. Joyce was a housewife and helped Dad on the farm. She enjoyed spending time with her Women’s Group at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wallace Township, and with all of their good friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her best friend Eileen Ament.
The funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wallace Township on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
