On March 15, the Walkerton and District Hospital Foundation’s (WDHF) board of directors presented Mike Barrett, South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s president and CEO, with a cheque for $1,017,349 for capital commitments in the 2022-23 fiscal year. Rather than focusing on one specific piece of equipment or department this year, WDHF purchased more than 40 pieces of equipment for several departments across the Walkerton hospital. WDHF officials say these items would not have been purchased without the support of the Foundation’s contributors.
