After a relatively warm January, the temperature dropped and the Formosa Recreation Ice Team could finally make ice in the newly-built covered outdoor pad in Formosa. A few skaters tested the ice on Feb. 2 and 3, with more weathering the wind on Feb. 4. This picture of the outdoor pad was taken on Sunday, when skaters could be seen coming and going all day long and into the evening. Several community skating events are planned for the next few weekends. Be sure to check out the rink, which is open daily.
