Walkerton Legion recognizes winners of poster, literary contests

Rich Henry, youth education chair for the Walkerton Legion, presented awards to students at Mildmay-Carrick Public School for the Remembrance Poster and Literary Competitions. Pictured with Comrade Henry are: Amelia Reutz, first place – primary black and white poster; Jocelyn Durrer, second place – junior black and white poster; Katie Moore, third place – junior colour poster; Sierra Lorch, third place – primary black and white poster; and Lauren Grubb, third place – primary colour poster. As a first-place finisher, Ruetz’s entry went on to the Zone C-3 Level, where she again took first place. Her poster will now compete at the District Level, against those from across southwestern Ontario.
