Driver faces impaired charges

PERTH EAST – On Dec. 21 just before 8 p.m., a Perth County OPP officer on general patrol was travelling on Road 122, in the Township of Perth East, when they conducted a traffic stop.

During the investigation, the officer determined the driver was impaired. They were arrested and transported to a local operations centre for further testing.

Clint Buchko, 36, of London, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), and operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

A 90-day administrative driver’s license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
