Wires cut in transport trucks, items stolen from locked vehicle in North Perth

NORTH PERTH – Perth County OPP are reminding residents to report any suspicious activity following a pair of incidents on Dec. 9 in North Perth.

Police are investigating an act of mischief that took place at a business on Road 164 just before 9 a.m. that day.

It was reported that an unknown suspect(s) cut multiple wires in transports trucks, making them inoperable.

Later that day, just after 12 p.m., police were called to a Wallace Avenue North address, where it was reported that an unknown suspect(s) gained access to a locked vehicle, removing several items.

Police are reminding residents to report any suspicious activity, if they see it, and to take steps to protect their belongings, such as increased lighting, installing cameras or alarms, and ensuring buildings and vehicles are locked at all times.
