County Towne Players preparing for spring production

‘Reunion Two – I Do, I Do’ to be staged May 26 - June 3, 2023

WALKERTON – The County Towne Players will be back on the stage at Victoria Jubilee Hall in the spring of 2023 with an original production – Reunion Two – I Do, I Do – written and directed by CTP’s own Heather Kueneman.

The play is a sequel to the 2016 play The Reunion, which revolves around the happenings at Charlie’s Pub during the town’s homecoming celebrations. At the end of that play, local boy Cam (Ryan Craig) proposes to his Toronto girlfriend, Lisa (Aleasha Reich).

Reunion Two – I Do, I Do focuses on the events leading up to their wedding and the wedding itself. Although the wedding eventually happens, all is not smooth sailing. There is conflict between the local caterer, Sadie (Ev Herman) and the Toronto wedding planner, Mr. Turley (Mark Gaynor). Aggie (Sherry McIntee) and Millie (Diane Hodgson) are back as bridesmaids to add to the mayhem.

As well, unexpected revelations, disgruntled in-laws and surprise visitors add to the chaos.

Since this 2023 production is a sequel and actors have already agreed to play the same parts as in 2016, there will not be a need for open auditions at this time. County Towne Players will return to the audition format once again for the 2024 production.
