LISTOWEL – A COVID-19 outbreak that was declared at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Oct. 13 has been declared over by Huron Perth Public Health, the hospital announced on Oct. 24.
A total of four patients and zero staff were identified as part of the outbreak.
“The Listowel Memorial Hospital staff and physicians are grateful for the support provided by our regional partners,” states a media release from the hospital.
The hospital says emergency department visits, ambulatory care services, operating room procedures, obstetrics, patient admissions, diagnostic imaging and specialist visits continue to occur.
There is currently no inpatient visiting permitted at the hospital with the exception of very limited, special circumstances.
“If you are not feeling well, or have COVID symptoms, do not come to the hospital except for necessary emergency care,” states the release.
