NORTH PERTH – Constituents will have the opportunity to hear from those hoping to represent them as their next North Perth municipal council in an all-candidates meeting scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 at the Listowel Agricultural Hall.
The 2022 North Perth municipal election features a large slate of 18 candidates, with all council positions to be contested:
– Mayor (one to be elected) – Todd Kasenberg (incumbent) and Julian George
– Deputy Mayor (one to be elected) – Doug Kellum (incumbent) and Colin Burrowes
– Elma Ward (three to be elected) – Matt Duncan (incumbent), Dave Johnston (incumbent), Allan Rothwell (incumbent), David Ludington, Jamie Pynn
– Listowel Ward (three to be elected) – Neil Anstett (incumbent), Matt Richardson (incumbent), Sarah Blazek, Grace Harper, Yasmin Vanos, Darrell Weber
– Wallace Ward (two to be elected) – Lee Anne Andriessen (incumbent), Paul Horn, Marc Noordam
The event is hosted by the Listowel Agricultural Society, with doors opening at 6:45 p.m. The all-candidates meeting is scheduled to commence at 7:30 p.m.
The 2022 municipal election is Monday, Oct. 24.
