NORTH PERTH – On Sept. 25 at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a male driver who approached a 13-year-old female and told her to get in his vehicle in the area of Wallace Avenue North in Listowel.
As a result of police investigation, a suspect not known to the victim was located.
Norman Smith, 61, of Mount Forest, was arrested and charged with criminal harassment.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Stratford at a later date.
