About a dozen energetic volunteers came to the former Wingham train station on Wednesday, Sept. 14 to help clean up some of Wingham’s streets. Pete Mulvey, coordinator for Waste Free Wednesday, organized the teams and gave them a map of their assigned streets. Each team was issued gloves, garbage bags, and recycling bags. Most of the teams returned after a couple of hours, where the Wingham BIA provided drinks and treats to thank them for their efforts. Perhaps the most interesting find of the day was a pair of pink Crocs.
