PERTH COUNTY – Perth County is excited to launch a refreshed Cultivating Opportunity Grant Program. The application period is now open for the Community Stream and eligible applicants will be considered for grant funding up to a maximum of $2,500.
Community organizations play an essential role in improving the quality of life of residents. This stream of the Cultivating Opportunity Grant is intended to support not-for-profit organizations and registered charities whose programs and services are aligned with the goals of the Perth County’s strategic plan.
“We have great community organizations across the region who have creative ideas and ways to support the residents of Perth County,” said Warden Jim Aitcheson. “This is a vibrant rural region and county council is excited to receive and review applications to the Community Stream.”
Those interested in applying are encouraged to visit www.perthcounty.ca/grants to download the program information package and complete the online application form. Priority is given to organizations that provide programming and services for the benefit of the Perth County community and that align with the County’s Strategic Plan. Projects that support goals of the County’s Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism Charter and/or the Joint Multi-Year Accessibility Plan are also encouraged.
The deadline to apply is Nov. 30, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Questions about the grant program and application process can be directed to Perth County’s Legislative Services Division by email clerk@perthcounty.ca or telephone 519-271-0531.
