The memorial window for CNR rail men Gordon McCallum and W. Stewart Nicholson in addition to the plaque on-site at Old 81 was officially unveiled in Palmerston Lions Heritage Park on July 2. The Palmerston residents were killed during a Southampton train derailment as a direct result of the significant rainfall and subsequent flooding caused by Hurricane Hazel in October 1954.
