Passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at home in Gravenhurst. Beloved wife of  Gordon Douglas Tanner. Loving mother of Cathy Tanner ( Frank Haslam), Bridget Child (John), Gord Tanner (Robin) and Douglas Tanner (Amy Friedman). Dear gramma of Tanner (Nicole), Tristan (Carly), Tyler, Jenna (Jake), Adam, Sam, Ryan, Ben, Nicole, and Hilary and great-gramma to Leon and Gracie. Fondly remembered by her brother Tony (Lorna) Vasey of Kitchener, sister in laws Bonnie Redmond (Carm) of Barrie, Sue McGrath (Wayne) of Port Elgin and amazing nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Maurice and Vera Vasey(Bolen), brother Jim Vasey (Gloria), sister Maureen Vasey, brother George Vasey (Cathy).

Ann had an extraordinary career teaching Family Studies in Elmira, Orangeville, Manitoulin Island, Kincardine and finally retiring in Walkerton in 1998. Ann had many passions foremost were her Grandchildren. Gramma would spend many hours teaching them the piano and was also known to host euchre tournaments at family gatherings encouraging everyone to mix and play with as many family members as possible.  Her other passions were her flowers, spending many hours each day in her garden, and singing in many church and community choirs mainly the Elderberries in Gravenhurst.  Ann had an incredible spiritual faith and held strong beliefs in natural family planning and whole food plant based (WFPB) nutrition and would speak to anyone on these topics for hours just wanting to help anyone she could.

Visitation was held at Cavill Funeral Home on May 29th. The funeral Mass was held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on May 31st. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church or Gravenhurst Against Poverty (GAP) We all know the world was a kinder more loving place with Ann/Mom/Gramma/Great Gramma in it.  Ann was always praying to saints for others. Rest In Peace to our wonderful saint.
