The Listowel edition of the annual Walk for Alzheimer’s saw participants raise approximately $6,800 for the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth on May 28. Twenty-one participants took part in the Walk directly at Between The Lines Sports Campus on Saturday, with several more either conducting their own walk or unable to attend in-person. The Alzheimer Society Huron Perth hosted five in-person walks throughout its coverage area, with the goal of raising $135,000 this year. There are currently 3,047 people living with dementia in Perth and Huron counties, with all money raised being allocated towards local resources. There is still time to donate – visit alzgiving.ca to do so online.
