CFI plants 100 trees at Turnberry Conservation Area in effort to restore pre-settlement forest

Connor Luczka Photo: Members of the Carbon Footprint Initiative partook in tree planting on May 13 at the Turnberry Conservation Area. Approximately 100 trees were planted before the group took a trip to the Pletch – formally Scott – farm, to observe the novel restoration efforts the owners have taken.
The Turnberry Conservation Area is a flat, grassy field with a soccer field bordering on the Maitland River.
