Walkerton District Community School basketball program returns

On April 30, the Walkerton District Community School Grade 5/6 boys’ basketball team travelled to Goderich for their first tournament. Over the course of three games, every player scored at least once and the team won all three games, outscoring their opponents by 87 points. Everyone demonstrated hard work and a desire to get better. The Walkerton District Community School (WDCS) boys’ elementary basketball team participated in the South-West Regional tournament on April 28. They went undefeated in pool play but lost in the final to Chesley District. Congratulations to WDCS on a successful season and a respectable second-place finish.
