NORTH PERTH – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police have laid a charge in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in the Municipality of North Perth last month.
On March 8, the adult victim contacted police, reporting that they were sexually assaulted at a residence in Listowel by a person whom they had met on the internet on March 4. An arrest warrant was sought, and on March 21 the accused was arrested in Gravenhurst.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old resident of Palmerston was charged with sexual assault cause bodily harm. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
