WALKERTON – A Brockton resident is facing multiple charges following an incident in Walkerton earlier this week.
South Bruce OPP say they responded to a report of a disturbance at a property along Irishwood Lane on March 6 around 11:25 p.m.
According to police, officers responded and encountered an “uncooperative individual at the scene.”
The individual was taken into custody by members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team.
On March 8, police identified the accused as Peter Ryan, 30, from the Municipality of Brockton. Ryan is charged with:
– two counts of assault with a weapon;
– possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
– assault peace officer; and
– mischief over $5,000.
Ryan was held in custody pending the results of a hearing scheduled for March 7.
