LISTOWEL – A person has been charged for theft after they were caught shoplifting at a local business.
The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police were called to the business on Mitchell Road South in Listowel on Jan. 30 just before 11:30 a.m., after a person was witnessed shoplifting.
Rachel Peavoy, 28, of Guelph-Eramosa Township, has been charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
