North Perth truck theft latest in Perth County

Another stolen vehicle was abandoned, police say

NORTH PERTH – The vehicle thefts are continuing in Perth County.

Perth County OPP received a report of a stolen truck on Jan. 19 after it was taken sometime the previous night. The white 2002 GMC Sierra 3500 extended cab dually pick-up truck was taken from a residential driveway on Perth Line 88, after it was left unlocked with the keys inside.

Meanwhile, the suspects had used another vehicle in the theft – a black Honda car. After stealing the pick-up truck, the suspects ditched the Honda at a business on Perth Road 164 and fled the area.

Police say their investigation revealed the Honda car and the license plates attached to it were stolen out of another jurisdiction.
