There was something… hauntingly different… about the Walkerton firehall on Oct. 30. The first indications were costumed characters directing traffic past the high school. Then there were the cars filled with cowboys and Spidermen, and even a costumed dog or two, lining up for treats. WALKERTON – Where else but a haunted firehall could Cruella Deville chat with a small Spiderman, while ghouls, goblins, pirates and Sparky the Fire Dog handed out Halloween treats on Oct. 30? In Walkerton, it’s a tradition to have kids go trick-or-treating at downtown stores. Pandemic cautions about numbers of people and a rainy weather…
