BRUCE COUNTY – On Thursday, Oct. 21, Bruce County will celebrate Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.
This appreciation day draws attention to the dedication and value of early childhood educators and child care workers in our communities.
“The valuable contributions that early childhood educators and child care workers make every day in our communities is truly remarkable and is so deserving of recognition,” said Christine MacDonald, director of human services. “This year, as Bruce County celebrates our early learning and child care heroes, we recognize the resilience and dedication of early childhood educators and child care workers, and honour the important role they play in establishing an early foundation for life-long learning.”
Bruce County’s children’s services staff members will also be providing child care operators with a professional development session that will feature a celebration meal to share while engaging in “team building” exercises.
Warden Janice Jackson said, “Thank you so much to the amazing early childhood educators and child care workers in Bruce County. These hard-working individuals and teams have been integral in keeping our region operating through these challenging times by supporting families and industries, nurturing our youngest residents, and making a positive impact on our communities.”
